Martial Arts
The world of martial arts has a wide variety of techniques, styles and purposes that have many physical and mental health benefits such as gaining balance and control of self and body, increasing one’s self-confidence, and maintaining clarity to gain focus.
At US Martial Arts Academy, we instill morals such as integrity, honor, perseverance, loyalty, courtesy, respect, and self-control. Our Academy Statutes are recited daily: I shall observe the traits of the US Martial Arts Academy. I shall honor my parents and family. I shall respect my instructors and seniors, I shall never misuse the martial arts. I shall be a soldier of freedom and justice SIR/MA’AM.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art whose central theme is the skill of controlling a resisting opponent that forces them to submit.
Due to the fact that control is generally easier on the ground than in a standing position, many of the techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are geared toward the skill of taking an opponent down to the ground and wrestling for dominant control positions from where the opponent can be rendered harmless.
Students benefit from greatly increased physical fitness, problem-solving ability, self-knowledge of their body and mind and the many social benefits of working within a group of like-minded fellow students as you learn and have fun together.
Cardio Kickboxing
Cardio Kick-Boxing is a class that combines martial arts and boxing techniques in a fast paced rhythm. This type of Kick-Boxing is great for fitness of the heart, burning calories while building lean muscle, improving your flexibility, balance, concentration and coordination.
